The dental profession was dramatically impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition to the economic toll on the practice of dentistry, the trust of the public in the infection control practices in dental offices gained tremendous importance. Universal precautions that have long been in use in dentistry have been successful in keeping the rate of positivity among dental personnel and their patients very low. This presentation will review key parameters of infection control in the dental office, with emphasis on current guidelines related to the pandemic.
