Sonia Chopra, D.D.S.

Sonia Chopra, DDS was the first female Board-Certified endodontist in Charlotte, North Carolina, and she founded Ballantyne Endodontics in Charlotte in 2008. Her team has grown beyond her and now includes three endodontists and a team of fifteen, and the practice consistently receives positive patient reviews.

As a mentor, Dr. Chopra is inspired to improve endodontic education for general dentists, dental residents, and patients. She is author of Tooth Wisdom, a book designed to help patients become informed and empowered in their own oral health. She also loves teaching her fellow endodontists how to grow their practices and improve efficiencies in their workflows so they can be more effective and profitable.

Dr. Chopra is also co-founder of A Night for Smiles, an annual gala bringing Charlotte-area dentists together to support dental health initiatives. She is an active member of the American Association of Endodontics.

When she is not treating patients or teaching dentists about endodontics, she loves to travel, garden, and spend time with her husband, Vivek Kashyap, DDS, and three beautiful children. She invites you to follow her on Instagram at @soniachopradds.
